Cream of Pumpkin with Roasted Garlic and Sage

There’s a lot of pumpkin soup recipes out there and it’s really hard to chose which one to make. I guess that depends on your taste bud preferences. I never was big on sweet taste that’s why my soup is rather savory with garlic and sage and just slight undertones of sweetness coming from pumpkin itself.
I’m using whole bulb of garlic but remember that first of all roasted garlic loses its sharpness and becomes much more mellow and gentle, second you don’t have to use whole bulb. You add garlic …

Low Fat Tomato Bisque

I absolutely adore all kinds of creamy soups such as lobster or tomato bisque. As far as I am concerned I don’t mind eating bisque in a restaurant because usually it is a small portion but when I cook bisque at home, I want to make sure that it’s low fat. The reason for that is the fact that I know, I am not going to stop eating after a small, little portion and I’ll keep coming for more and more. At the end I will end up feeling guilty …

Vietnamese Sweet Potato Soup

We are very lucky to live just around the corner of a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant called Hy Vong in Coral Gables, FL. Here it was when I first tasted Vietnamese cuisine and I absolutely fell in love with the flavors. Simple Cauliflower Soup

What could possibly be better on a cold, rainy day than a bowl of hot, satisfying soup. Today is that kind of day and I just felt like eating hot bowl of soup with a slice of bread. This soup was actually the first thing I ever cooked after moving in with my boyfriend to our new apartment over 2 years ago. I so wanted to play a housewife and I also wanted my boyfriend to start eating healthy, homemade meals instead of take outs. Of course I don’t always …

Super Quick Asian Soup

In the past few days I didn’t really have time for cooking. It’s my last week of school before summer break and I have to focus on my classes. I basically ate some leftovers and quick meals but just because they’re quick, doesn’t mean that they’re unhealthy. Today I made super quick cellophane noodle soup. It took me roughly 10 min to prepare. I used frozen stir fry vegetable mix so I saved some time because I didn’t have to cut veggies into matchsticks. Also cellophane noodles are ready within …

Miso Soup

In Poland where I’m from sushi restaurants  are quite a novelty so I never had miso until I was  already a big girl in America I totally loved it and I even spread the love to my mom. Japanese eat miso everyday and often for breakfast. I know it’s weird, I can’t imagine eating soup for breakfast but every culture is different. I also can’t imagine beans for breakfast as they are commonly eaten for breakfast in Mexico. Nonetheless miso is very tasty and super healthy. It’s made …
